Augusta Mall


The Augusta mall is located in the west part of the city, off the Bobby Jones Expressway (I-520). The Augusta mall covers an area of 1.3 million square feet. There are 130 stores and services in this mall. There are 4 restaurants in this mall and 2 large food courts. The Augusta mall is anchored by Dillard's, Macy's, Sears, JC Penney, Barnes & Noble and Dick's Sporting Goods. Parking is free at this mall. The Augusta mall has no covered parking areas. The mall doesn't provide valet parking services.

The Augusta mall operates between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday it is open from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In March 2007 a man drove his SUV through the mall. He didn’t stop at the entrance but continued his journey through the food court and headed for the exit in the same way. He was arrested. This was the main security incident at the Augusta Mall. The mall has 2 floors. The mall is completely enclosed. The Augusta Mall is a super-regional upscale shopping center. At first it was designed for people with a smaller income, but now it is the only mall in Augusta and has to cater for all tastes. The mall is quite family-friendly as it offers the possibility to rent strollers, and has some private restrooms.
